Chris Pearson is the President of 5G Americas. In his executive role, he is responsible for the overall planning of the organization and providing management for the integration of strategy and operations in the areas of technology, marketing, public relations and regulatory affairs.With more than 33 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Mr. Pearson is a recognized spokesperson in mobile wireless and 5G technology trends and has spoken at technology conferences throughout the world including CES, Mobile World Congress, CTIA, 5G World North America, and The Big 5G Event.

Koji Watanabe

Koji Watanabe starts his carrier as an electrical circuit engineer in 2006 in Yokogawa Electric. After the R&D experience of Giga-band hardware and network algorithm of ISA100 wireless, he moved to the Middle East for business development of the industrial wireless business from 2014 for 4 years. Now he engages in the IIoT and AI business development at Yokogawa HQ.

Dr. Dean L. Bartles

Chief Executive Officer & President

Dr. Dean L. Bartles is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Manufacturing Technology Deployment Group which includes the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining and Advanced Manufacturing International, Inc. Previously, he was President of the National Tooling and Machining Association. Prior to that he designed and built the John Olson Advanced Manufacturing Center at the University of New Hampshire. Dr. Bartles was the founding Executive Director of the Digital Manufacturing and Design Innovation Institute in Chicago after working for General Dynamics Corporation for 30 years setting up manufacturing operations in Egypt, Turkey, and the US. He recently served as the 2016-2017 President of the North American Manufacturing Research Institute, 2016 President of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, and founding Chairman of the Smart Manufacturing Leadership Coalition. Dr. Bartles graduated from Indiana State University earning a Ph. D. in Technology Management with a concentration in Manufacturing Systems.

Joachim Hensch

Joachim Hensch has a profound and holistic knowledge in garment manufacturing, technology and innovation. Starting as a tailor in bespoke couture, he then moved to the ready to wear business and has taken various positions in product development and production. In 2015 he became managing director in the Izmir factory of HUGO BOSS Group with 3800 employees.

His mission was to transform the organization into a flexible and responsive Smart Factory with the means of industry 4.0. That, to be better prepared for a highly volatile, demanding and impatient market environment. Within this approach he is in the forefront of innovation excellence in garment manufacturing and thus the Izmir Factory is a role model today for the global apparel industry.

He believes in agile, SCRUM based project execution and flat hierarchies to cope with today’s pace of doing business. In September 2020 he founded his own Consulting firm and thus helps manufacurers and Startups with their tranformation towards modern manufacturing methods and mindsets. He lives in Stuttgart, Germany.

AJ is a data-driven entrepreneurial change agent that began his career working for several R&D/biomechanical startups across the globe, designing and implementing cutting edge technology programs to hack human performance outputs for MLB clients. He was then recruited to run a $6 million P&L for a digital transformation consulting firm based out of Jacksonville, FL. Most of his efforts were spent on architecting enterprise roadmaps, for fortune 500 manufactures, to adopt AI & IIoT technologies thus transforming legacy supply chains into digitalization pioneers.

AJ made a pivot 5 years ago to co-found an AI Automation software company called SORBOTICS bridging the gap between academia & real world applications focused on making ML/IIoT easily accessible and deployable for industrial giants to reduce maintenance costs by 40% and improve energy KPI’s by 10% all without the need of becoming a data scientist or writing a single line of code. His role at SORBOTICS has been instrumental in growing executive-level business development efforts from zero to the first $2+ million in reoccurring SaaS revenues. AJ believes in a sustainable world where every machine and supply chain process can become smarter to reduce a global carbon footprint which in return will make manufacturing great again. AJ holds a bachelors degree in Finance from Southeastern University.

Sebastian Grabowski

Sebastian Grabowski PhD, graduated from the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications of the Koszalin University of Technology and the Faculty of Management of the University of Warsaw and is a holder of a diploma in general psychology of the Warsaw School of Social Psychology. His areas of expertiseare Open Data, Internet of things solutions for business and cities, interactions between users of telecommunication networks and the Internet. Currently the Head of Business of IoT and Advanced Technologies in Orange Polska, telecommunication company. Creator of a nationwide initiative devoted to Open Data – “BIHAPI” www.bihapi.pl. President of the ArchitectsPL Foundation, which promotes the idea of open data in Smart Cities. Lecturer at the Faculty of Management and Social Communication of the Jagiellonian University.
